Best trails ....period

Denalikerr is right on the money about everything except the opinion regarding costly parking. After experiencing everything ERNC had to offer I felt like the $5.00 parking fee was rediculously low. During my visit I not only enjoyed perfectly manicured trails, but also an adult class on Digital Photography taught by a former National Geographic photographer. If this wasn't enough, another volunteer took a group of children on a spider and insect excursion. This non-profit organization survives on parking and donations. Come on Denali, send em' another $5.

Yurt Adventure
by denalikerr
A fifteen minute drive, flooded trails, and costly parking- don't sound fun, do they? But the drive is gorgeous, especially in autumn, bridges have been built to avoid the trail damage done by beavers, and all the charges are well worth it. For winter camping, the yurt provided by the Eagle River Nature Center is awesome. The wildlife is everywhere, (including bears, so take mace) and all the views are gorgeous.
- Pros: GoodWinter facilities, Abundant Wildlife, Great Variety
- Cons: Mosquitoes! Bears!, Costly parking, Long drive
