Excellent care - always!!!

I have had the pleasure of vetting several dogs at Ravenwood and the vets there have seen me through to the end of my elderly dogs and from the beginning with a puppy or a new rescue. I have always felt the judgment of the vets to be the best ever and believe me, they have helped me to make some VERY difficult decisions. I drive and will continue to drive 25 miles to use this veterinary clinic because of the highly knowledgeable and friendly staff who welcome me and my dogs with open arms, minds, and hearts! Check them out for yourself, you will not be dissatisfied with the care you animals receive.
- Pros: excellent care, thoughtful staff, and feeling of safety when leaving your pets
- Cons: It's a long drive if you live in south Anchorage
Wouldn't take my dog anywhere else!

We started seeing Dr. Frost when we moved back up here 8 years ago. Our dog at the time was a very nervous dog when it came to vet visits and they were always great with him and did muzzle him when doing things that he didn't like. Our dog developed cancer and went through 1 surgery by Dr. Frost that gave us 3 more wonderful years with our special boy. When it came time to put him down, Dr. Frost was very compassionate and understood that it was unbelievably hard on us. After our boy was gone they sent us a wonderful card telling us that his last moments were spent eating cookies with his head on someone's lap with his tail wagging. They also made us a plaster footprint, which I will cherish forever.
Now that I have my own dog (last dog was a family dog), I take him to Ravenwood and he loves the staff there, they are awesome!
- Pros: Dr. Frost and all the other staff are so nice and caring
- Cons: NONE!
Ravenwood is one of the best.

We have been using Ravenwood for five years and all of our experiences have been great. We had four cats (two have died) and a dog and have been there many times. They care about the animals and the owners. They explain what they are doing and why. The Vets also try to keep your cost as low as possible. Our oldest cat died a few weeks ago and we got a sympathy card with a personal message from the Vet that was taking care of him. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
- Pros: Caring Vets and staff, new facility
- Cons: None at all

I absolutely love Ravenwood Vet Clinic! Their whole staff is nice, caring, and understanding! I've brought my cat Machiatto and my teacup poodle CoCo there and will never go anywhere else even if i were to move out of the Chugiak area! For instance, i called and had questions about my dog and they followed thru with her and even called me the very next morning to check on her!! If thats not the best i'm not sure what else is!! To me they are the BEST!!!! 80)
- Pros: my dog absolutely loves it there!! ~~~~nice new roomy location
- Cons: none whatsoever!!
Excellent Vet Clinic - my dogs love it

I don't think this forum is the place to write a rumor or something you "heard" about. Ridiculous. I love Ravenwood Vet Clinic - they recently spayed two large female dogs for me that were old and overweight - both risky surgeries. They did a great job with difficult circumstances and saved their lives. My dogs love to go there and aren't even scared when we walk up to the door. The doctors and staff are great. Thank you - Scooby Doo and Bailey's Mom
- Pros: they also have a brand new state of the art facility
- Cons: no cons

Have heard inappropriate euthanization
by grtlander at Citysearch
I heard some disturbing news that one of the veterinarians euthanized a dog because of percieved agression during examination.
Get a muzzle.
This is a horror!
