Unkept rooms. The service seems adequate, but the rooms - mine and my work partners - had unpleasant odors. Mine smelled of wet diaper and my partner's smelled of cigarette smoke and it was a non-smoking room. Everyghing is a little dingy, dirty carpets, stained furniture. I don't need much, but for $159 (a bargain in the summer in Alaska), it should have been kept up to a corporate standard. Other Best Westerns are spartan, BUT CLEAN.
- Pros: Walking distance to restaurants, value
- Cons: You'll feel like taking a bath in rubbing alcohol after your stay
