Best place in the city for breakfast.
This is hands-down the best place in Anchorage to eat for breakfast (fly in is almost equal, and they deliver breakfast at all hours).
Service is always great and with a smile. Prices are super and did I mention the food is some of the best in town. I've only had a burger there once, and it was average, but the breakfast is super. My wife and I have made a tradition of going there every Sunday for their breakfast.
Flo's represents how a business is supposed to treat it's customers.

one of the single worst dining experiences in years.
The germs and horrible service abound in plenty at this poor excuse for a restaruant. The sanitary conditions are much less than should be allowed. I actually watched as the servers handled money, pens, receipts, and other items, then handle toast and other food with bare hands. I was there for almost an hour and didn't see them wash their hands once. It took thirty minutes to get our order, though it wasn't too crowded, and all we ordered was eggs. The service was basically nonexistant, our waitress never once glanced our direction except to slide a drink refill across the counter towards my husband. We couldn't even get her attention to pay our bill. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

above average greasy spoon.
The greasy spoon is an honored American idiom. Flo's is the best.
Great value, eclectic service. Solid American food - get over your cholesterol numbers here...
Depending on who's on-shift, service is either brusk and infrequent, personable and funny, or non-existent. But the food is good and the price is great!
Don't come here for ambience, romance, haute cuisine - come here to feed your gut and walk out with change. As far as that goes, Flo's is the place to go!
