Excellent home-style Korean food.
With Anchorage's large and active Korean community you would think there would be more places like this. Most of the Korean entrepreneurs seem to go for the mainstream Chinese and burger market though.
The Little BBQ House is different - obviously family-owned and operated, don't come for fast food, but to be treated like family.
Everything is excellent, and clearly homemade with love and care. Not inexpensive, but won't break the bank either.
And the assortment of banchan (little side dishes meant to be shared by all) is extraordinary - kimchi, other pickled or fresh vegetables, seafood - well, I don't even recognize half of them, but wow are they good! Worth the trip all by themselves.
I have had many of their entrees and have never been disappointed. The menu helpfully identifies the spice level for those of you afraid of a little heat.
Don't come for ambience or glamour - come for the food and you will leave happy.
