Where else in Anchorage?. I spent new years in the Paradise Room at Bernies and was surprised to find such a unique atmosphere. As one ascends the stair case into Paradise they are greeted by cascading lighting, mellow house music and beautiful wait staff. We enjoyed dinner and drinks on one of the many funky couches to choose from. Dinner was good but the drinks were better. When was the last time you found someone who made a decent French 75? As the night progressed the atmosphere evolved with danceable grooves and one hot go-go dancer. Where else in Anchorage but at Bernies?

bad place for drinks. Yes, since I have been back in Anchorage I have been to Bernie's several times. I tried 3 different beers on tap and none of them tasted like they were suppose to. I suspect someone is selling, or Bernie is buying old beer kegs. In addition the cocktails are insipid and therefore overpriced. I tried to just move around the problem by ordering bourbon on the rocks. I watched the bartender give me a 3.5 count pour on something that should be about a 5 count and charged me full price. I am wondering what someone that enjoys cocktails should do in this place.
