I love this place. They are very patient with me when I come in looking for glass for my stained glass projects. There is a big selection and the glass is excellent quality. I've been buying glass from them for 3 years now and never gotten a flawed piece. It is also a great place to get gifts for your friends with an artsy flare.
Fabulous Unique Gifts. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Great shop to browse around. Found some very cool wine stoppers, plus other gifts for co-workers and family. I will definitely be back. In fact, I looked them up today to find their hours because I need to stop in for a Mom gift. One of my few "go to" places.
Agreat place to get Glass. I have shopped here for 3 years and in that time I have always been treated with respect and have always had my questions answered. I like being able to touch the glass I buy and get critiques on color matching. I was just starting 3 years ago and the owners have always helped me and encouraged me and my projects. When I read reviews from people who said they were treated like children then I think maybe those people shouln't act like children. I f a person knows the no refund policy then why ask for a refund? This is a greatt glass shop. If the person working is wrapping something relax and let them finish, look around, get some new ideals and when they are finished you will be treated with respect. Go visit and chat about glass and treat others like you would like to be treated. Glass and supplies are not cheap anywhere. Remember to add shipping costs when you start price shopping online. The costs at this shop are very good and you get to see what you are buying. Have a great day!
I LOVE this place.
This is truly my favorite shop in the Eagle River/Anchorage area. It is an art gallery with heart. I feel like family when I go in there. I regularly shop for gifts there because I know I will find something unique. I have also taken a stained glass class and have fallen in love. I know I can ask questions of the knowledgeable staff, and the owner has even called her artist daughter to answer a question for me. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area, it is a delight.
P.S. the class policies are clearly outlined on the paper you sign and are explained by the owner before you pay. There are no suprises about the no refund policy.
I like this shop and the owners. I started buying glass from this store last fall. They have always been very helpful, friendly and have given me many tips and suggestions that have saved me time, money and frustration. They have a wide selection of glass, are willing to cut reasonable sizes and also have small pieces to choose from. I'd shop there more often, but live in Anchorage. Yes the owner has a strong personality, but also cares about her shop and customers. I will continue to drive out there at least once a month. They also have a regular buyers savings card which comes in handy. Connie

I too had a run-in with the co-owner, a former middle school teacher who treats customers like kids. Earlier in the year I took a glass class from her. She gets impatient with everyone, and I'm not going to take that from anyone. I'm an adult, and I don't need another mother!
The shop has some very cool artwork, and I've bought some, but I have to brace myself when I go in there not knowing what kind of a mood she will be in. This is the mother, I have not met the artist daughter, who perhaps deals with customers in a friendlier, and more adult manner.
My recommendation: BEWARE OF OWNER!
Terrible People Skills...If You Want To Be Treated Like A Small Child, Visit This Gallery.
This gallery holds art classes and unfortunately, they have an "absolutely no refunds for any reason" policy . I registered my children for an art class and prepaid $70.00. On the morning of the class my daughter woke throwing up and very ill, my husband at work, there was no way either of the kids would be attending the class. When I called the shop owner to reschedule she politely read the policy to me as if I were a small child and I needed a reminder of the rules. Very condescending. I suggested a waiting list when she told me that these classes fill up and she has to turn people away. She interrupted and quickly explained why a waiting list would never work and is definitely a bad idea.
In addition, my husband has been into this gallery several times. The first time, the store was very quiet and the store owner was wrapping something at the counter. My husband wanted to know her store hours and attempted to ask, however the store owner interrupted him and snapped, "I am in the middle of wrapping something, I will be with you when I am finished."
Anyway, you get the point, no need to go into the explanation of what happened the second time my husband went to this gallery. The shop owner gives the distinct impression that she cares more about the dollar than her customers' satisfaction and I can assure you that we will not return to her gallery for any reason in the future.
