This is the only place my wife will shop for guns at. They won't talk down to her, or treat her with kids' gloves. Everywhere else in the area she feels men get priority at the counter.

Disreputable. At the Alaska Sportsman Show I wanted to purchase a scope. Their salesman told me they sold out and I could stop by the Eagle River store to order and pay for it there. When I got to the Eagle River store the employee was rude and inconsiderate. He told me it was a show only price and that they would not honor what their own salesman had told me. I will never go their again. I'll take my business elsewhere. I do NOT recommend this so called business.

EH as a rating is much to good for this place.

Boondock Sporting Goods is an Awesome Gun Shop. Don, who is the owner, and all of his employees are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly.

Regulars often hang out there and swap gun talk and hunting stories.

I consider Boondocks to be the best gun shop in the anchorage/matsu valley area by far... There are other gunshops but none compare to Boondocks. The atmosphere is indeed friendly, inviting, caring and informative.

Boonedocks sells a wide variety of new guns, ammo, reloading equipment, clothing and also deals in buying and selling used guns.

I always make it a point to go to Boondocks when i am making a trip out of the bush.

Boondocks Sporting Goods. Do not buy from Boondocks. The owner is very rude. An Army unit was coming back from Afghanistan to Ft.Richardson and Boondocks usually orders custom engraved guns with the units name and other info about the date etc. Some of the soldiers were calling to check on the order, and it turned out that the owner was getting very annoyed because so many people were calling to ask. When one soldier called to ask about it the owner cussed him out. My good friend told me about this and I will never ever go to Boondocks nor buy from them. As a Military member myself this is very disrespectful.
