Not to be trusted. Went to have a gun repaired. Got a written quote of $30. Went back to pick it up and they wanted to charge me $55. Showed my receipt and even the person who originally gave me the quote agreed, but the man who was apparently in charge would not let me have my gun for any less than $35. I know it's not a big difference, but a job quote is a job quote. This business does not honor their word.

Best gunshop in Alaska. The best gunshop in Alaska. Knowledgeable and pleasant staff, great layout, awesome selection of product. They have a fine gun room too and make custom guns. Best prices in town on everything. Jim the owner and gunsmith is a hunting guide too so can give you the best advice in Alaska on hunting guns. Ken the manager gives great deals and is a walking gun encylcopedia. Cute girls work there. Sort of out of the way to get to. Very busy so you have to be patient, they are always on the phone.

If it can be done they can do it to your firearm. On sight machinist and gunsmiths. Clean and organized store. Does business all over the world. Certified federal firearms handler. Boys sells and trades. Open most of the time on Holidays even.Closed only on Sundays.

Jim West sais it is his store but his wife and his man Ken run the place.

Tip: put up with Ken, if he is happy he will make you happy.
