Not the Pet Store it Use to Be

The previous owners of Animal House made that pet store the premiere pet store in Anchorage, Alaska. From exotic to household pets, the owners of Animal House maintained a high standard of quality, cleaniness, and compassion for the animals that were sold to their customers.

Another Animal House is currently operating in Anchorage and is located in a private residence. The reviews for this pet store are very unflattering and one can only assume that it is be operated by the very same person who allowed the Animal House Store to fall into a state of poor management and customer dissatisfaction..

Too Bad

It is to bad things got that way for Animal House. I sold the business is 06 and hate to see these bad ratings from something is spent many years building.

Avoid

Bought a very expensive blue tick beagle from them a while back... 6 hours later after i had purchased him he callapsed to the floor and quit breathing. I took him to the vets. He almost died. He got Iv's hooked up to him and they had to keep him for several days. The vet knew exactly where I had purchased him. As he questioned me did you purchase from this place? I was shocked he knew and was floored they had a rep this bad. How could they not be shut down for this?? Well over $1200.00 later the Vet hands me back my puppy. He was still VERY SICK and needed meds and thankfully i got him into the vet that night otherwise he would of died. So me being a kind hearted person is thankful i purchased him but i shouldnt have to pay the bill. I called the lady and she said that the dog wasnt sick when he left that i must had of done something to it.. YEah RIGHT! im thinking your wacko lady! and she hanged the phone up on me. I called my vet as he was interested in what she would say. i told him and he advised me to call her back and demand my money back because i can hire an attourney and s*e her which would cost her more. He also advised me not to purchase animals from this place as they are coming from washington puppy mills... Funny things is.. My dogs certificate stated he came from Washington. Oh brother i was thinking... So i called the lady back trying to be nice and she was rude saying that she isnt going to pay. That i had done something to him but, she hadnt known that my pup i just purchased had a blo*d, stool and other samples from the Vets stating it was a sickness dogs get from puppy mills. Dont buy from there!!

I went back in just 2 days ago. They are still selling animals.. It stinks so bad in there it isnt funny. My eyes watered for a few. Its so dirty and gross!! They had 2 kittys in there and there pen was dirty. No it was not cat litter. Poor things!
