So sad - it's closed.
Well it was good while it lasted - closed last year.
In a town where most "Chinese" food follows a formula, Golden Pond stands out.
The style of the food is unique in Anchorage, maybe because (as they are proud to tell you) the owner/operators are actually from China.
The buffet only selections are fresh, carefully prepared and varied. There is also a sidebar with a variety of Thai offerings. They even have an above-average salad and desert bar. Free bevarages.
They gladly accomodate large groups for special occasions, and will plan a banquet menu for you. Many Asian families celebrate here.
