Not going back.... So we have visited this restaurant many times in the past and always had great food and great experience. Yesterday when my husband and I decided to end our evening there because of its charm and food quality we were confident in our choice. WE WERE WRONG! The waiter was apologizing for his tardiness when we first sat down. When he finally took the order more than half a bottle of wine gone, we were hungry! Kalamari was overdone...hint - oil too hot. Salads were DRENCHED in dressing. Husband had shrimp Milani and the bacon wrapped around it was basically RAW. I had stuffed shrimp and they were burned and hard as rocks. The fettucine was congealed. Sauce had separated. And though the broccoli was very wet, it was under cooked. BUT HERE'S THE BAD PART... we told the waiter who immediately said, "well it's not my fault, but the owner is in and I will have her come right over." I WATCHED him speak with her. She threw her arms in the air and walked away. He came back and said, "She is too busy to come over, but I will give you free dessert. I have control over that, it won't be burned." The OWNER then did everything in her power to avoid us. We had to ASK for the check. When he brought the check he brought an order of baklava to go, "on him." Thanks Jason for asking, I'm allergic to the ingredients in it. We didn't want our dinner comped, we didn't want any special favors - we just wanted someone to tell the cook he was ruining $25 meals! WE WON'T GO BACK - after 30 years - WE WON'T GO BACK. They don't care - we don't.
Terrible customer service...... My friends and I ordered a pizza from there at 11:13 and wanted to have it delivered to the UAA campus. When we ordered, the receptionist told us it would be fine and the pizza would be there within 45 minutes. After an hour, one of us called to see where the pizza was and the lady told us that the delivery guy left ten minutes ago. (timeline, over an hour minus 10 minutes doesn't equal 45 minutes) 10 minutes later I called back to just ask for my money back and got a HUGE attitude from the same lady! She said just to wait for the pizza and refuse delivery. When I told her that we had to go to class and there would be nobody here to refuse delivery she said "well then I guess nobody's getting any pizza then huh? He's already gone, I have no way of getting a hold of him. Have a nice day" and hung up the phone! Its 2010! How does she not have anyway of not getting a hold of a driver! When I checked my bank account, they had charged my card without my signature! As soon as I get out of class I will call again to try and have them reverse the charges. I will NEVER deal with these people again. Bad pizza I can live with, but bad customer service is NEVER worth dealing with! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! They do NOT deserve it! If I could give them NO stars I would, but this site wont let me...
Don't let the name fool you.
It sounds like a strip mall pizza joint - don't be fooled. It's a strip mall very nice Italian restaurant!
If this place was a stand-alone with a big parking lot and a fancy name, it would be a lot more expensive and crowded. But they have been hiding in their little corner of this anonymous strip mall for decades and it seems to work.
Not just pizza - a comprehensive menu of very good upscale Italian and Greek. Don't let the name fool you - inside this is a very nice place, even romantic if you wish.
Extensive menu, very well-prepared. Rarely crowded, but they do take reservations. A real surprise for the uninitiated. Cost is very reasonable when compared to the more-crowded and well-known competition.
