Whatta local let-down

I can hardly put into words how well Alaska Digitel will pillage you for all you're worth via silly contract terms and unbelievably apathetic employees.

AK Digitel should be embarrassed by their lack of empathy, quality products, and competent staff. Every single one of my visits to AK Digitel has been wretched, yet I try and try again.

Do not use them. These sneaky bastards don't use Sim cards, which means you MUST stick with them and MUST use their overpriced, mediocre phones if you want to keep your contacts/info/etc...

Break your phone? The cheapest available is $200, unless you want to buy a crappy $50 pre-paid phone at a gas station and have it converted over.

Want out of their terrible contract? That will be $280.

Need to make a call from inside almost any building or from somewhere as far away as Eagle River? Good luck. This provider "provides" the worst reception in the state, regardless of what they advertise.

Unless you take advantage of their lifeline program, forget it. Stick to at&t where the staff are knowledgeable and professional and no one violently forces your hard-earned cash out of your wallet while viciously laughing.

awful service

i have the lifeline due to a disability and i went in june 11th and asked for the long distance service plan to be added to my account. The woman at the counter said ok, that will be 11 extra dollars a month i said ok.

now a week and 3 days later i still have no long distance service. Been through all kinds of phone calls and work ticket BS and still nothing. worst business i have delt with in a long long time. Ready to leave them and try someone else.

worst cell phone carrier

do not use them, they will rip you off without a blink of an eye. one, they dont use SIM cards, so if you have to switch phones, one you have to buy another one at full price (because your contract isnt close to expiring most of the time) and two, you have to go down there and wait in their long lines with other mad customers. AND they no longer have their service center so you can't go down there and get your phone fixed, so you have to buy a new one.

I am one of those people who break phones constantly. So when I found out that they could fix them, they were my new best friends. Well I came back from Hawaii and my phone got wet, so I went down to get it fixed at the service center, and oh look! they were gone... luckily i managed to get my phone working. Then yesterday my phone got wet again (I am pretty sure I need a waterproof one) and it hasn't started working yet. So I go to get it switched over, and of course... they are closed. I call the *611 and the girl, who sounded oh so thrilled to be there (perk up brittany, your job can't be THAT bad answering a phone all day) informed me they no longer have a service center and they do not fix phones.

well why would you go and ruin a perfectly good thing? phones that work= happy customers.... having to constantly buy new phones because AKDigiCRAP has horrible selection= unhappy customers.

I just want to say thanks to AKDigiCRAP for ripping me off like you do.
