Ok, So my wife and I have heard about the Shed and decided to go there last nite. Well come to find out that they dont accept dependant ID cards as proof of identification. I was not the only spouse that they did this to. There was another party of all spouses that were females. They took my wifes Active Duty ID but I had to show my driver license. And here they have signs that they support the troops guess us spouses dont mean crap to them. I would not recommend this place to any one as there is no room to dance and very lame atmosphere....

Great staff, great atmosphere, loads of fun! Best karaoke in Anchorage!. Been going to the Shed for awhile now, and I have enjoyed myself everytime. The staff have always been courteous and friendly, and the food isn't too shabby for bar fare. Sure, it's a bit worn-in, and it certainly isn't visually as appealing as other joints around Anchorage, but the place is cozy and inviting. Then, of course, there is the karaoke. I'm an avid karaoke-er, and I've been to bars around the country, and I have to say the Shed is one of the most relaxing karaoke bars I've been to. I've been in there on crowded, super busy nights, as well as nights when it's been me and two other patrons singing the night away. Their song selection is wide and varied, and the DJ's are kind and encouraging, which makes the evenings incredibly fun. I recommend the Shed to anyone who is tired of the polished, flashy scene, to those who dig a more authentic Alaskan bar experience. I bring out of town visitors in, and every single on of them has commented on what a great little bar it is!

Great place for dancing and karaoke. I have been going to the woodshed since I was legally able to go. I believe the atmosphere is great and the song selections are good as well. The food isn't bad either. The woodshed is a great place to hang out and have fun. I recommend it.

Bad additude at the Shed. My friends and I were having a wonderful time at the Snow Goose patio and we decided to stop by the Shed for a beer and some karioke. The bouncer was rude while he questioned all of us regarding our IDs, etc. I was let into the bar along with one of the guys in our group. An out of town visitor was next in line and the bouncer asked him about 30 questions then proceded to throw his ID out the door onto the ground. Now, we are all professionals and in our late 20's/early 30's. We make good money and we tip very well. We are very good patrons and in no way shape or form deserved this kind of treatment. Needless to say, we will never go to The Shed again. For good service and a friendly helpful staff, go to the Snow Goose or Darwins Theory.
