Bad lunch service. The food is amazing everything i've tried is Delicious and Alaskan. The handcrafted beer are always so good, we would of loved more but our server with huge earrings just never came back and kept us waiting so we ended up drinking at Humpys. The dinner service is much better. Our server put her thumb in my chowder and i couldn't eat it. something about the lunch service went way downhill since the last time we visited anchorage. if you want the best experience go at night and make sure your server's name is not shaniqua or shanel or whatever it was because you won't get all the yummy beer you want!!

Absolutely love the Thai Chicken pizza!. Glacier Brewhouse is listed under bars/pubs on this site, but in actuality - it is a restaurant that has a brewpub in it.

They make an incredible Thai Chicken pizza that rocks! Thin crust baked in a brick oven with a yummy peanut/thai sauce. It was tv cook Rachel Ray's favorite when she visited the Glacier Brewhouse! The pizzas are "personal size" and are intended for one person, although one (with a salad, chowder, or appetizer) would be perfect for two people. I prefer bringing home the leftovers! ;-)

The seafood chowder here is awesome and the fresh brews are fantastic. Love the homemade lemonade as well.

Very nice atmosphere~~

Not on the top of my list of restuarants to return to. Way over priced for the amount of food you get. I took family there that was from out of state. Overly spicy, but the waiter was decent. My family from out of state was not impressed as well. Overall the location is decent, and yes I agree the parking could be better.

Great Atmosphere and Food. The best calamari ever! Love the Shrimp and Smoked Salmon Caesar Salad, the Wild Mushroom Chicken Rigatoni, and the Bread Pudding! Also, don't forget to order the Big Woody in the winter. It's a great barley wine that they serve after the Beer and Barley Wine Festival in January. Be sure to make reservations since it is always busy.

excellent food and service. The food is very good and offers lots of Alaskan seafood choices. The service is awesome. Always a wait but they give a pager and there are some charming shops to visit while waiting. I have eaten there twice and plan on future meals at the Glacier Brew House.

Best meal in Alaska. We definately had our best meal in Alaska at the Glacier Brewhouse. The food was excellent, both in the personal pizza we ordered, and the salmon special that I had. We brought our 2 year old along, and the server stated that most of the items on the menu could be made into children's portions. The prices were a little bit high, but this is Alaska, where everything is just a little bit more expensive than California.

best beer in town. Always a good atmosphere, fun for a date or bringing the kids along. A little pricey for what you get.

User review by onlyhope615. This is a great restaurant! The food is excellent, and the service is great. The prices are a bit steep, but well worth it.

I don't know what the previous poster was talking about (nothing non-alcoholic to drink)...The cream soda that they brew themselves is awesome, and definetely non-alcoholic.

And to the poster who said you could not make substitutions: Almost every restaurant is willing to make meal substitutions. You just have to ask! The restaurant wants your business, so why would they reject your requests (as long as they are kept simple)?

The BrewHouse is a good restaurant, and one of our first stops when in Anchorage.

Great place.. This is the best place my husband and I have eaten since moving to Anchorage. I don't agree with the post about the resturant not having enough drinks. The name of this resturant tells you right there what kind of place it is going to be and in my personal oppinion it is not a place to bring kids. The food is the best in the city if you love seafood this is the place to get it fresh. The ambuance is wonderful and the brews that are made there on the spot are some of the best I've ever tried. Would really reccommend this place to someone visiting Alaska for the first time.

Fun for all!. I'm not sure if the above reviewer was expecting a McDonalds playground here but this is a BREW house...and one of the best in the country. The menu is short but they cover all the bases and everything on the menu is cooked to perfection (as close to can be in a brewhouse). Fantastic beer, great food with a fast and courtious staff. I only come to Anchorage once a year but I always make sure to make one evening at the Glacier Brewhouse.
